Toshiba 1.8-inch hard drive and 240 GB
If 3.5 inches are aimed at desktop and a notebook of 2.5, Toshiba 1.8-inch discs are often used mainly in portable devices such as MP3 players, but also some laptops.

Toshiba recently announced it will begin to manufacture 1.8-inch discs drive and 240 GB of capacity, about one-fourth of the capacity that we can find a 3.5-inch discs. The MK2431GAH would be focused on its use in MP3 players or camcorders with internal hard drive, which currently have much smaller capacities in the range of 60 GB the most. In the case of an MP3 hard drive with 1.8-inch internal, the best and most famous example is the iPod Classic, last updated using a Toshiba 120 GB hard with characteristics similar to that of 240 GB, but with a disc instead two.
The speed is 4,200 rpm, which will provide performance data much smaller than a record of 7,200 rpm. In turn, small discs like this are the ones who suffer most are the arrival of the SSD, which possibly will be replaced in the medium term. They are still safe, since the magnetic hard disks are much cheaper than the SSD, but since a SSD pays something better than a traditional hard drive in 7200 rpm and 3.5 inches, 1.8 inches at 4,200 rpm and the difference in favor of solid-state disks should be even higher.
