SDXC new standard for SD cards

While some users do not even know the difference between SD and SDHC cards, the SD Association has already submitted a new specification to improve both speed and capacity of these cards. SDXC and his name will be allowed to store up to 2TB.
Although technically SDHC card also supports 2 TB, the association in September to limit of 32 GB for them. Anyway, such capabilities require high transfer rates make them far more comfortable to use. SDXC the work to 104 MB / s and can reach in the future to 300 MB / s.
Compared with 6 MB / s offered by SDHC is not bad. Another difference between SDHC and SDXC is the first using the FAT-32 format, while the ExFAT to work with new disc format defined by Microsoft.
Thus, with his departure we find a situation similar to the previous generation. Most existing devices are not supported, but some manufacturers release firmware updates that will be compatible. At the moment we are not, as the final specification will be launched this year and next will be in the CES will see when the first models.
