Processors Six Core Intel Xeon 7400 Series

The latest addition to Intel microprocessors in terms is quite surprising. If AMD already done some time ago with the Phenom, now launches the Intel Xeon 7400 Series six cores, some processors targeted at medium and large companies already use in servers.

There are 45 nanometers in processors with the particularity of being manufactured with high-k materials, upon which we have already spoken on any other occasion. According to Intel have achieved some excellent performance data, especially in tasks virtualization. They offer up to 2.66 GHz and about 65 watts of consumption in the case of six-processor cores.

But more than the characteristics as such, I would like to mention the fact that Intel has already entered into with these six core Xeon 7400. Although they have now begun on servers, it is quite likely that in a few years Intel processors haul of six core domestic market-oriented and to confront the Phenom of 6 cores that are an interesting product for the user conventional, or at least give that feeling the latest products made by AMD.

It should be borne in mind that Intel is now on the market quite a few more options than AMD, from very inexpensive processors and performance limited to the most powerful market, with exorbitant prices and led to the most demanding users. The move AMD offering the three six nuclei is understandable, although perhaps a movement of turning Intel into the field initiated by AMD can do something strange, because by now leading the market fairly broad and do not have the same needs as AMD .
