OpenSolaris has highly interesting features, the new file system developed by Sun ZFS (zettabyte File System) and Dynamic Tracing (DTrace). It is rumoured that time could have included the Leopard file system ZFS.
As part of OpenSolaris launch, Amazon offers the ability to run applications on their servers OpenSolaris EC2 “cloud computing”. At the moment this service is accessible only by invitation.
