Notebooks with 40 hours of battery life in the future

We have already spoken once of Pixel Qi, the company founded by Mary Lou Jepsen, who previously was associated with the OLPC. One of their projects is to create a portable 50 euros for the not too distant future.
Another is to increase the battery life of laptops, with the goal that we can use them between twenty and forty hours without needing to connect to the stream. They have the difficult task at hand, which will focus on the screen, one element that most defines the consumption of the computer.
They are currently working on several prototype display, including an electronic ink capable of operating in color display and video. For the next year they want to launch one that consumes very little power and can be viewed under direct sunlight.
In addition to increasing autonomy, for which work with multiple manufacturers to offer notebooks improvements in several aspects of these, the aim is that the price is not increased. Therefore, using technologies similar to those currently used LCDs, which use the same production lines currently in existence.
