Intel Core i9, or Gulftown in 32 nanometers, first data

Many thought that Intel was recollecting the use of sockets. Now on the market some that use the Core i7 LGA 1366, while the current i5 and i7 use the rest of the LGA 1156. “He died on socket 1366? Far from it.
The latest rumors, this time from Guru3D, talk about some new Intel Core i9, as Gulftown at 32 nanometers and would be evolved versions of the first i7. In other words, maximum power and price very bulky.
The interesting thing is that the Core i9, being about new processors that inherit features of the first i7 socket 1366 and used the Intel X58 chipset instead of Intel P55 and 1156 of the Lynnfield.
So if this rumor is true, it will confirm the assumptions that many had: while AMD is promoting a single socket, AM3, Intel processors to develop its current two sockets at once. The thing is, if there are any unexpected changes, like this:
- Socket LGA 1366: Intel Core i7 900 Series and Intel Core i9 (rumor).
- Socket LGA 1156: Intel Core i7 800 Series, 700 Series Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i3 (rumor).
The Intel Core i9 have some models with 6-core, hyperthreading and that thanks to the i7 emulate existing 12 threads of execution. Also very important, follow the manufacturing process at 32 nm, with the advantages that we have always mentioned: less heat, power and energy consumption more attractive.
His arrival on the market is already estimated for the forthcoming year, in the early months of 2010, prices are still totally unknown.
