The Alienware Area-51 powered by Core i7-980X, 3.33 GHz that can be overclocked up to 3.73; other features include ATi 5970 graphics, multiple RAID configurations of hard drives both traditional and SSD, and much, much more.

Overall, Alienware Area-51 has always been and it’s still one of the strongest teams on the market today, the price of the Alienware Area-51 is consistent with their characteristics. We talked about a starting price of $ 2,199 with a processor i7-930, and with the i7-980X would raise us up to $ 3,049.

The F Series are not the only laptops that Sony has presented at the ESC. Before the show started and the flood of submissions already leaked some models that have now become official. They are the Sony Vaio S Series and Sony Vaio Y Series.

We start with the S Series, which are designed to be easy to carry, thanks to its lightweight, around 2 kilos to get by using aluminum enclosures. Its display is 13.3 inches and is illuminated with LEDs, automatically adjusting its brightness by a light sensor, which also serves to turn the backlight on the keyboard.

A good example of the Sony Vaio S Series is the VPCS11V9E / B, which comes with an Intel Core i5, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics card, DVD drive, three USB ports and an HDMI output. Alternatively, they may incorporate a module for 3G connectivity.

But if what we seek is still more speed, and the Sony Vaio Series, maintaining the same screen size, to reduce weight 1.78 kilos and with increased autonomy to 9 hours with standard battery use. The Sony Vaio VPCY11S1E comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300, 4GB RAM, 320 GB disk, Intel GMA X4500 graphics card and no optical drive.

It will go on sale later this month and the S series can be customized in different colors, including green and pink.

One of the occurrences within the ESC that could cause more sensation among the gaming community is the Alienware M11x. This computer has not yet been completely unveiled a netbook could be to play.

And is that although not yet released and therefore we do not have definitive characteristics. Without knowing the final specifications will also VGA video outputs, HDMI and DisplayPort, as well as multiple USB ports, and 11-inch screen resolution 1366 × 768 pixels and 8-cell battery that will offer a range of up to 6.5 hours, much less (about 2 hours) if we use the computer as possible.

The price of Alienware M11x could reach close to $ 1,000, higher than all the current netbooks but also with a power far greater than themselves.

The fever of digital picture frames seem to have come to an end after years in which all manufacturers launched their own models with little to stand out from others. Now, we see either bring technological developments like the use of OLED screens, or developments in the software, such as the Casio Digital Art Frame.

Basically, it implements a series of filters, like you get at some photo retouching applications like Photoshop that make the pictures we show in “artistic elements. Thus, it can simulate effects of watercolors, pastels, pointillism, painting, …

Additionally, the Casio Digital Art Frame implements adoble Flash Lite, which allows you to display additional content, such as clocks, calendars and other widgets that are downloaded from the Internet.

Its screen has a size of 10.2 inches and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It has 2 GB of internal memory, SD card slot and a USB connector, plus Wi-Fi connectivity. Casio Digital Art Frame supports photos in JPG, BMP, PNG and RAW and video in MJPEG.

Toshiba unveiled its new notebooks at CES 2010, with more or less than expected, update or refurbished hardware design, but each one stands above the rest, we talked about the Toshiba Satellite E205.

As you can read in the headline of the story, this is the first laptop to use wireless Display (WiDi) technology from Intel, it can display any multimedia file from our team on television, or if you wanted to play a YouTube video in high definition she could do it.

Ultimately the technology allows us to connect wirelessly with other equipment, and it serves as a third component is at stake, a small device made by Netgear that connects to the screen via HDMI and acts as a wireless receiver.

This receiver will retail for $ 100 and works only with computers with Intel Core i3 or i5, which is the case, as the Toshiba Satellite E205 has a Core i5-430M.

Other important specifications of the notebook is its 14-inch (LED), has a backlit keyboard, and the requisite HDMI connector, other aspects that differ according to their settings are or 4GB of RAM 500GB hard drive. The chosen operating system is Windows 7 and be in North American stores later this month of January at a price of $ 999.

Speaking of Widi technology itself, we could say that there is no particular novelty in this set of devices for streaming on a screen, but in practice people Toshiba and Intel argue that there is no easier way to do that with your configuration at the same time, you are guaranteed excellent quality.

The Motorola HS1001 is the first attempt to bring Android to the cordless phone, and the images we see on the news found its appearance in prototype form since it is not yet operational.

Stresses on the other features dual WiFi connectivity, with which to connect to the telephone base, and the WiFi network at home we have. Let the rest of provisional specifications:

Processor at 240 Mhz Arm9 DSPG

Screen Resistive 2.8 “QVGA

256 MB Flash ROM and 128 MB of RAM

MicroSD card slot

Android OS 1.6, without the interface Motoblur

With the arrival of Android and the choice of a major hardware such as the present report, it becomes a household appliance is quite similar to a mobile phone with Google operating system, with all the functionality that it yields: applications, web browsing, multimedia, etc..

Motorola expects the Motorola HS1001 on the market in the second quarter of 2010, first in Britain and then in the U.S.. It estimates a price of $ 149.

We continue with the renovation of compact camcorders, if you were teaching yesterday the new Sony and Kodak playsport Bloggies ZX3, water resistant, it is his turn now to two representatives of Sanyo Xacti family, for my historically a step above as the other chambers of small size.

Specifically you talk about the models VPC-SH1 and VPC-CS1, the first in the usual format of the Xacti pistol and the second with a more traditional ways. I remind us that Sanyo sells its cameras as dual driver with excellent capabilities in Full HD (1920 × 1980 60i) and striking results when you take pictures.

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 has a 35mm lens, wide angle, and a 30X optical zoom. If the size of last year’s model (higher end), the Sanyo Xacti FH1 was compact, the new one is even smaller.

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 has a 38mm lens, also wide angle and 10x optical zoom. In this case, size reduction is even more complicated, look at the comparison with the range-topping success and Sanyo Xacti HD2000.

Having noted the reduction in size, we can report that the specifications are still to high. They have also decided to change the native recording format MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, as previous models worked with older formats and complicated to manipulate.

In the case of the Xacti VPC-CS1 can capture images at 3 megapixels (8MP interpolated) and the more traditional model VPC-SH1 up to 4 megapixels (10MP interpolation). Both have flash support.

Other points to note are a new feature Gun Mode in which the microphone is in line with what we are targeting, image stabilization, face recognition, the ability to connect the camera through the mini-HDMI port, or the storage system chosen SDXC cards.

I do not know if during the ESC has more updates in the Xacti range, for now we are left with these two models in the U.S. market in February, at a price of 399.99 dollars for the Xacti VPC-SH1 (in red or black) and 299.99 dollars for the Xacti VPC-CS1 (in silver).

Today, the first official day of CES, ATi has presented its new graphics for notebooks. They are, as expected, the ATI Mobility 5000 Series and are presented with nine new models.

Highlight the ATI Mobility 5870 and seeded according to ATi being the most powerful mobile graphics for today’s market, reaching up to 1.12 TFLOPS by a 700 MHz core manufactured in 40 nanometer, GDDR5 memory and be compatible with DirectX 11.

Beneath it we have the ATI Mobility 5850 with 0.8-1 TFLOPS, of course, also at 40 nanometers. More generally all new models are:

New graphics card for laptops ATi

ATI Mobility 5870

ATI Mobility 5850

ATI Mobility 5830

ATI Mobility 5770

ATI Mobility 5750

ATI Mobility 5730

ATI Mobility 5650

ATI Mobility 5470

ATI Mobility 5430

All of them 40 nanometers, with support for DirectX 11 ATi Eyefinity, HDMI and more.

To these new models also have to add the following two:

ATI Mobility 5165

ATI Mobility 5145

That although belonging to the new 5000 Series graphics are nothing more than the previous generation (4000 Series) with some slight changes to be introduced under the new family. In fact only support DX 10.1, for example.

AMD Vision logoTodos expected much of these new ATI graphics for laptops, since we have seen in a computer that sat filtering. In the coming days will be many more who reach this, all manufacturers and most varied prices.

Keep in mind the huge differentiation between the different models ranges. For example, while the 5870 has a capacity of 1.12 TFLOPS, the 5770 “only” has about half (520 GLOPS) and 5470 even less (120 GFLOPS). Of course then depend on each manufacturer choosing graphics card for your model, and depending on that choice the final price of the device will vary greatly. Surely in 5870 we see only the higher-end laptops (Alienware rate for gamers or similar) and the 5430, 5450, 5470 and 5650 as the most widely used.

Indeed it is not as potent as the Nexus One, but it’s close enough. Unfortunately the screen is OLED (although it is capacitive and has the same resolution) and the system is Android 1.6 (not 2.1 as the Google model), but depending on the price that had would be really interesting, especially if we consider the professional cutting device Lenovo itself (partly owned by IBM) has designed in recent years.

If today we talk about this printer is because he was born thanks to an unusual alliance: the signature Zink Imaging with Pandigital.

Together, they have developed a new portable printer that uses Zero Ink printing technology, as promoted in recent years. This is how we talk about a very compact peripheral uses the patented paper Zink, an invention that has been developed in a special material with small crystals that are activated by heat and take color, simplifying the printing process.

Thus, the new Pandigital printer does not need ink cartridges to get their prints 4 x 6 inches. We’ll see actual results late in 2009, when it is released for sale in a limited edition available only in the United States.

According to leaks, this printer can be purchased for a price of 149.99 dollars while the Zink paper package cost $ 39.99.
