Once the necessary excitement in the industry with the Natal Project, Microsoft begins to appear in rumor with something that is nothing outlandish: a new Xbox 360 console.

But calm, that future of this game console would get next year at this time no more or less would be ignoring the current version. The idea seems to be to transfer technology Natal Project to the current console through the necessary accessories and integrate with the new version. More choice, again in the media, the Nintendo Wii in sales closer.

The new Xbox 360 will not differ much from the current will be added more power and perhaps a slight redesign. That it can use the games we already have.

It is quite complicated to find the ideal multimedia center, who has all the features we want and, furthermore, its price is reasonable. Now that the Xbox 360 video have Bazaar, in which Microsoft recently implemented some additional functionality could make it the ideal multimedia center.

The obvious advantage of the Xbox 360 is that it combines in a single device various features. Yes, as the console is quite bulky, but if it we avoid having to install other equipment next to the TV, this size is compensated for leftovers.

Leaving aside the functions of console, the Xbox 360 will operate as a conventional media player. We can connect external disks through its USB port and play video, music and photos from them.

Video is supported, among others with DivX, XviD and WMV, which represents a number of videos you can download. Therefore, keeping the contents of the computer to the living room is as easy as using a USB drive. And if you have an iPod, it is also compatible with the format used (except if we have music with DRM).

But if the XBox 360 is connected to the network can use it to not even have to do that. The integration with Windows Media Player lets us play the streaming content directly. If you have Linux or Mac OS X there are also options for that, as Connect360 or Twonky.

Of course not everything is perfect. Some video formats increasingly used as MKV, are not compatible. Nor does it provide support for subtitles, so if you want to use these is necessary to recode the original video to add. This is one of the major hit for many users who download series and want to see them in English with subtitles.

We must not forget, either, to the physical formats, as Xbox 360 allows playback of DVDs and music CDs, in addition to digital content stored on them. We avoid, therefore, the need for an additional DVD player. Too bad that Microsoft has bet on horse loser with the HD-DVD, launching an external player for this format which he was overthrown by Blu-ray.

Despite continued rumors, Microsoft does not appear to have any intention to take no equivalent for Blu-ray nor to integrate this format in future revisions of the console. And watching the news yesterday because it means, do not want more physical formats.

One thing is missing to round out the package, the ability to record television. It does not appear that Microsoft has no intention to develop something similar to PlayTV, so if we are able to record the signal from DTT must choose another option.

Although few months ago was rumored that Microsoft was preparing a command as the Wiimote for its Xbox 360, finally the news does not seem to have fraught, so under the hand of the giant from Redmond, and to offer that functionality comes the Gametrak Freedom.

The command offered a motion sensor based on accelerometers and ultrasounds, which have a much greater sensitivity than the Wiimote, enabling precise movements move we make to the game, the style of Wii MotionPlus.

In addition, the Gametrak Freedom not only would be compatible with Xbox 360, but also with Playstation 3, offering an experience similar to the command of the Wii console in all of last generation.

For this, of course, you’ll need to offer games compatible with this technology, and that’s where I see the main obstacle to a command like this. The producing games will want to ride hard to develop games specifically for him until there is a wider market and, secondly, it will be difficult to sell the command if there are few games. The fish that will bite the tail.

For now, what will launch early next year with a title itself, Squeeballs, composed of a series of mini games. We will see to that price they do, but coming with a pair of sensors that are placed on the TV, command and using ultrasound technology and radio frequency, I doubt that their cost is low, which further ballast product.

Turtle Beach, a company that designs, manufactures and markets products of high quality audio for video games consoles, has announced his new pair of wireless headphones Ear Force X4.

This new product was designed to operate with the XBox 360 (although we can capitalize on other consoles, with fewer benefits), and has the following characteristics: weight: 270 grams, dolby digital 5.1 surround, dolby pro logic II, dynamic talkback expander, which adjusts the volume levels of audio in the game with chat (Xbox Live), thus allowing for listening to our peers while we play, even in sticky situations, monitoring microphone, which allows us to listen to ourselves when we talk, which avoids having to raise their voices during our game sessions (evening, mainly), bass boost, which improves and enhances the sounds in situations that deserve it, as explosions, gunfire and other (then leave the headphones and think that we remain at war), automatic switching off when we leave the product on its base, this will shut down by itself, works with 2 AAA batteries, up to 20 hours in use

Its price online, is about 199 dollars, which may seem a bit much… but good, we need to rescue some currencies to gain a better if we want to enjoy these games we hypnotized on a daily basis.

A few weeks ago we saw as the PlayStation 3 version of ‘GTA IV’ received a first patch to improve their performance in the Sony console, approximately 18 MB, but that did not deal with issues with the game console.

Now, nearly two months after it appeared the game, Rockstar has released a new update for the game in their version of PlayStation 3 and for the first time also for the Xbox 360 version.

This update brings to the game in the version 1.02 and serves to correct some bugs in the game, almost unimportant, and some failures in the online mode of both consoles.
