HP today will show a new product that will give a lot to talk about: a laptop or TabletPC screen that incorporates touch screen, have called HP Touchsmart TX2.

This new notebook has a 12.1 inch screen, like most of TabletPCs, the HP TouchSmart TX2 laptop can controlled with one or two fingers, as well as with a pen stylus or the traditional way. Viva diversity.

The design of the notebooks is also spectacular, with no need to use aluminum or anything like that. A good graphics outer casing and is sufficient. At that point, HP is doing very well with their latest equipment. The processors from AMD are certainly starting with a 2 GHz Athlon X2 and can reach a Turion X2 at 2.4 Ghz. RAM can be up to 8 GB and hard drives 400 and 500 GB.

Beyond the touch screen, the other specifications are not notable. With Radeon HD 3200, carries ExpressCard slot and integrated webcam.

At the moment we do not know the availability nor the price of new and striking range of HP Touchsmart. Although it is a significant development from HP, and a step in this trend we will see next year, until the arrival of Windows 7 certainly we can not see the real potential of product like this, because without an operating system that thinks from the outset in touch as something feasible, the user experience will remain almost the same as with the current TabletPC.

Aware Electronics Company has submitted its A-Pad notebooks, which has a screen with which we can rotate, where usually found in the Tablet PC.

This model has an optional module for 3G and other GPS, although by now if their basic characteristics are more interesting:Dimensions: 225 x 165 x 40 mm, Weight: 870 grams, 800 MHz processor Aday5G, SO: Linos 2.6.21, 512 MB RAM, Touchscreen 7″ with resolution of 800 x 480px, Disk SSD 4GB, WiFi, Bluetooth, Optional: GPS and 3G, 2x USB Ports, VGA output, Ethernet, Slot MMC, SD, Battery 3400 mAh up to 4 hours in use.

It is expected to launch within two months, while its initial price is estimated at $ 300, which is not much considering other alternatives.

I love the fact that you can rotate the screen, but in my opinion product design must be improved.

Among the novelties of Hewlett Packard, filed last few weeks ago, is the Tablet PC Pavilion tx2500z, a model that has friendly designs in the case (Echo).

This product HP is well prepared because it brings HyperTransport technology to improve system performance while running multiple applications (in part due to be dual-core).

Among its features, include:

Dimensions: 224 x 306 mm x 31.2 ~ 38.6

Weight: 2 pounds (varies depending on configuration)

Ultra AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core ZM-80/ZM-82/ZM-86 (from 2.1 to 2.4 GHz)

OS: Windows Vista 32 or 64-bit

Touch Screen WXGA 12.1 “, with a resolution of 1280 x 800px

Up to 4GB of RAM DDR2

ATI Radeon HD 3200

Webcam

Fingerprint reader

WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n

Bluetooth

Disc sata up to 5400 RPM 320 GB

DVD ROM, double layer, with LightScribe

An excellent model Tablet PC to take advantage with heavy applications well be put to the limit… but not worthwhile.

A pity that only bring Windows Vista, as it surely will be quite complicated to get then controllers for use with Windows XP.

The most basic configuration, part of 1049 dollars, at least in the United States.

For if it was not comfortable with the Dell Latitude D630 XFR, perhaps this model DRS under the name Armor C12 can be useful for you.

The product is designed to be used in complicated environments, extreme… so you do not have to be afraid when it comes to get to play with him.

Here’s comment on the characteristics of portable DRS Armor C12 (picture):

ULV U1400 processor to 1.2GHz

Touch Screen 12.1 “

512MB of RAM DDR2

Disk 60GB shock-proof

Full Keyboard

WiFi

Ethernet

Fingerprint reader

Although, if you are not convinced by the fact of having a portable test to all, perhaps the X10 Tablet PC DRS Armor, may be even more useful… as long as you come well these characteristics:

Intel Core Duo U2500 at 1.2 GHz

Touch Screen of 10.4 “

Disk 16GB of SSD (optional)

Bluetooth

Wifi

Ethernet

So far their prices are unknown, but probably will not be available to any pocket.
