The F Series are not the only laptops that Sony has presented at the ESC. Before the show started and the flood of submissions already leaked some models that have now become official. They are the Sony Vaio S Series and Sony Vaio Y Series.

We start with the S Series, which are designed to be easy to carry, thanks to its lightweight, around 2 kilos to get by using aluminum enclosures. Its display is 13.3 inches and is illuminated with LEDs, automatically adjusting its brightness by a light sensor, which also serves to turn the backlight on the keyboard.

A good example of the Sony Vaio S Series is the VPCS11V9E / B, which comes with an Intel Core i5, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics card, DVD drive, three USB ports and an HDMI output. Alternatively, they may incorporate a module for 3G connectivity.

But if what we seek is still more speed, and the Sony Vaio Series, maintaining the same screen size, to reduce weight 1.78 kilos and with increased autonomy to 9 hours with standard battery use. The Sony Vaio VPCY11S1E comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300, 4GB RAM, 320 GB disk, Intel GMA X4500 graphics card and no optical drive.

It will go on sale later this month and the S series can be customized in different colors, including green and pink.

Sony turns to point toward amateur photographers who want to go a little further and move into the DSLR world and does so by presenting the Sony Alpha A450, with offering a model able to function without problems in most situations .

To this end, we have included an Exmor CMOS sensor 14.2 megapixels and BIONZ image processor. Being a DSLR, we use the optical viewfinder, but its Live View function with Manual Focus Check, which allows us to verify its 2.7-inch screen if you want to photograph is in focus.

Features of the Sony Alpha A450 we have a ISO 12800 and a shooting mode to 7 frames per second in speed priority mode, but more commonly we have 5 pictures per second in any situation. SteadyShot INSIDE Because we will not have problems of image blur, as it offers four levels of image stabilization.

Their autonomy is not a problem either, because we can shoot over 1000 pictures on a single battery charge, while the memory cards supported by the Sony Alpha A450 include Memory Stick and SD.

The camera will go on sale in early February 2010, priced yet unconfirmed but which would, presumably, anything below $ 1000.

Comes with a 14 inch screen in 16:9 ratio, with a clear focus on mid-range notebooks.

There are two developments that were really obvious, Windows 7 and Blu-ray. In the first case is clear, no notebook to be delivered without this operating system, the second is the Blu-ray, as we think is built into all new laptop models from the cheaper version to more expensive an attempt by Sony to standardize these units.

Sony VAIO CW powered by Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz, with 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 230M GT, which is not bad. You can upgrade to 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and 2.8GHz processor.

We saw that was put on sale in November, even we were seeing at CeBIT and found their little thick, but finally, today presented the new Sony VAIO X.

As you know, it’s the thinnest VAIO created with a 11.1 inch LCD screen and LED technology. It has a total thickness of 13.9 millimeters and a weight of 655 grams.

In terms of hardware, we talked about one of the new laptops include a 2GHz Intel Atom processor with Windows 7 (as it should be), 2GB of RAM and a 64GB memory in a single SSD. On the screen, reaches a HD resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, but your graphics processor is no big deal, Intel GMA A500 arrives.

In communications is covered, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and A2DP for connecting any stereo. Optionally there are models that come with GPS (only available in the U.S.) and a 3G modem. The battery of this VAIO X is about 17 hours on a single charge, something that you should not be trusted, who knows as measured this time (without WiFi, brightness to a minimum, use it …) but in the worst Where more than 4 hours of battery life if you give.

The initial price of Sony VAIO X will be $ 1300, is expensive, but not as much as I expected.

Competition is presented to the Kindle and this goes hand in hand with Sony, a new electronic book reader that has just been introduced and, as in the case of Amazon’s device, comes with integrated 3G connectivity, so that we may download books wirelessly.

The Sony Reader Daily Edition provides a fairly acceptable screen size, 7 inches, falling somewhere in between that allows good visualization and easy transportation. This size allows even display two pages at once if we use it horizontally.

Two other attractive features make this display: it is tactile and has 16 levels of gray. We, therefore, take notes with the Sony Reader Daily Edition plus more quality viewing of documents, including images or photographs. It comes with a lid and integrated memory to store over a thousand books and a memory card slot.

The content is one of the fateful in many of these devices. At EPUB support and access to public domain books Google Books Library Finder is added, with which we can borrow books from a library.

The metaphor is more than accurate, as well as in a library of physical books, these virtual books exist in a limited quantity, so if all copies of one loan have been caught in someone we expect his return, which is automatically restored after 21 days.

Like the Kindle, currently the Sony Reader Daily Edition is not offered for sale in Europe, although it is based on 3G are more likely to end up coming sooner rather than later, but will require the agreement with mobile operators and publishers and distributors of books. In the United States will be sold beginning in December for $ 400.

Panasonic revealed their new camcorder with the name Panasonic HDC-HS350 comes with an internal hard drive of 240 GB, we find it difficult to fill with content.

If the video is recorded at high resolution and high quality, 1920 x 1080 pixels 17 Mbps, we can store more than thirty-one and a half hours, but if we stay with a resolution of 1440 × 1080 6 Mbps, we can reach one hundred hours of content.

This Panasonic camcorder comes with a sensor and a 3MOS image stabilization system with which we have no problems moving to burn even while we walk. It also includes a function Follow Focus, which focus the image on an object or person, even if it is moving.

Its screen is 2.7 inches, is a touch and is designed to be fine even in the sunlight. Panasonic HDC-HS350 records in AVCHD, but you can turn this content into MPEG-2 to create a DVD without needing to connect to the computer.
