Despite a long hiatus, Lenovo is betting on mobile telephony. The Lenovo lephone born by now only for China and specifications very close to the Nexus One, the current fashion mobile.

Lenovo lephone brings a 3.7-inch display, capacitive touch but not OLED with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and moved by the same mobile Snapdragon Google. The system is Android and of course we will have A-GPS, WiFi and a 3 megapixel camera.

Indeed it is not as potent as the Nexus One, but it’s close enough. Unfortunately the screen is OLED (although it is capacitive and has the same resolution) and the system is Android 1.6 (not 2.1 as the Google model), but depending on the price that had would be really interesting, especially if we consider the professional cutting device Lenovo itself (partly owned by IBM) has designed in recent years.

Although many did not believe it possible or likely, the information that have been arriving in recent days and left no doubt about the existence of Google Nexus One, the mobile phone search giant with whom they want to give their vision of how it should be a terminal with Android.

To do so have decided to work jointly and closely with one of the largest manufacturers of phones with Android, HTC, thus achieving a terminal tailored to what Google wanted, even more than earlier models like the Motorola Droid in that Google had put a lot of hands.

Google Nexus One, specifications

Specification is not much more than stress, having been almost all of them unveiled earlier. However, it is worth giving a look to know that is what brings this phone.

Outside we found a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels, and type AMOLED. Oddly enough, the trackball is located at the bottom of this is illuminated in different colors to give visual information from different events (new messages, missed calls ,…).

Inside, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor gives you the power to run all applications smoothly. The light sensors to automatically adjust the brightness, and proximity are taken for granted, and the GPS receiver, accelerometer and compass.

It adds also a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and a headphone jack 3.5 mm with four contact points. This means that serves simultaneously as a headset and a microphone. The handset itself includes a pair of microphones for noise suppression.

All this comes at a thickness of 11.5 mm and weighing 130 grams, plus the ability to record a message in the case when we ask.
Not everything is hardware, Android goes beyond

Although the specifics of Google Nexus One are attractive, it is important to have an operating system that gets all the performance sacarles. The phone comes equipped with Android 2.1, the latest version of this system, which includes applications like Google Maps with navigation system, a client of Facebook and others that have been seen in the Motorola Droid.

Moreover, it has increased the number of five main screens, providing more space for widgets and shortcuts. Among the widgets will find one to show news and another to display the current time GPS tracking.

Another novelty is the incorporation of animated wallpapers and interactive. Examples show the reflection of a tree in a lake, where we will see leaves fall to the water waves are or how we play the water to form these waves. Be seen whether this affects the autonomy of the terminal.

The application launcher has also been redesigned to facilitate access to these, as well as photo viewing system, depending on when grouping these have been taken, which have been taken, … also automatically upload them to Picasa.

Speech recognition has been added to the whole system, so that we can enter text by voice in any field. This works, for example, the GPS navigator or the new Google Earth has added to the system.

Google Nexus One, how to buy

Google wants to disengage some operators to sell when the terminals equipped with its operating system. For this reason, they will from their own page: http://www.google.com/phone is the site chosen to do so.

Of course, operators do not disappear altogether in the process, because the terminal will offer both free and under contract. At first, put on sale in U.S. T-Mobile, while Europe is Vodafone’s chosen to bring the phone during the spring of this year.

So far they have not announced the prices that come into our hands, but in the United States costs $ 529 if you want free and $ 179 if purchased with a two-year contract.

This store, which sold the Nexus One United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong in the first instance, will add new models in the future, both from HTC and other manufacturers and with other operators.

Motorola’s bet on Android has been clear, resulting in two terminals, Dext and the Milestone. But clearly not the only ones that they will, because next year we will find a comprehensive range between which is the Motorola Backflip.

This is a terminal with a design that leaves much of the usual. At first glance may not appear, thought is but an evolution from Dexter, but if we say that the keyboard that incorporates a sliding type is not sure as to disarm more than one.

So how is this keyboard? Well, this turns to be placed behind the screen, hence the name Backflip. What’s more, since in the back of the screen when the keyboard is extended, we find a touch panel to manage the phone.

If you’re wondering where the camera, the answer is simple. Integrated into the keyboard. Odd? Certainly. We will have to test it to see whether they have really successful with this configuration, although I have not very clear that they will be comfortable.

Moreover, the Motorola Backflip is a terminal at the height of Dexter. In fact, it uses the same interface Motoblur a 3.1-inch screen and resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The camera is 5 megapixels and includes 3G connectivity and Wi-Fi and a GPS receiver.
