3D on mobile phones without glasses

3M continues to investigate 3D products to eliminate the hassle of putting ourselves when we want to display content glasses in three dimensions.
The prototypes that have shown these days have sizes of only 2.8 and 9 inches, so its direct application would be in ultra-portable mobile phone or digital photo frames. The technology we have developed is based on a system of prisms in a sheet to be integrated into the LCD and to be responsible for correctly display images separately in the left eye and right. To use this type of technology will require dual backlight, each for an eye.
Although commercial application could be close, for now do not talk about specific dates, but 2010 could be a good time to bring the three dimensions to the world of mobile telephony.
